In all the adventures Sky had been part of and could remember throughout her short life, she had learned the importance of trusting her instincts. A twinge of unease or a moment of wanting to move for no discernible reason were cues that could mean the difference between life and death. So she listened to her instincts, and reformed her plans to them, rather than letting them be used as an afterthought in a reckless plan of attack.
So that’s why she had a really bad feeling about this door in front of her. Large dark steel towering over her, every nerve ending was tingling with an edge of someone facing down a threat more powerful than themselves.
